Hoping to vanquish the darkness and chaos deep within.
Wish you all a very happy vijayadashami! May this day dawn the start of all good things in your lives and may all your dreams come true!

But it rained. One fine morning, at Marina Beach
My all time favorite. My saviour. The one, the only Lord Ganesha.
How did Mylapore get it’s name? Look no further!
Karpagambal on Kamadhenu vahanam.
The holy trinity of the sacred feminine – Durga Lakshmi and Saraswathi, during Navratri last year
The past week had been pretty hectic and worrying due to many reasons. Yeah pretty worrying for even my standards of thick skinned-ness. But thanfully it has all tied down. Post Malaya paksham after ammavasya officially is the beginning of this year’s navaratri …. I can take it that most junta who come here have already seen my previous year’s post explaining in detail, the way 9ratri’s being celebrated here … Anyhoo .. This year most of Navaratri spans across the weekdays, so no OC – sundall 😦 or the constant nagging to sing wherever I go 😛
And Saraswati Pooja and Vijayadasami on the weekend!
Bah! Humbug!!!!!
Worsht!
But yesterday, me and Dad set the steps for this year’s golu and since I cant invite most of ya home to see my golu … u can see it below ….. [No Sundal though, sorry about that ! ;-)]
This is the picture of a small amman temple by the side of the every dusty and ever-so-comfortable roads of the TVK estate which lead me to my workplace. This statue reminds of the small statue from the movie “Amman” , which happens to be one of my all time favourite movies [Yes, enaku saami padamum pudikkum].
Her eyes seem to rage with the fury of a 1000 angry skies … kinda reminded me of the Kalighat Kali too 🙂
So put this one up.
